Grier Heights Presbyterian Church
The history of the Grier Heights Presbyterian Church began during the 1930's, with the members of Ben Salem and St. Lloyd Presbyterian Church. The members wanted a place to worship in their own community known at that time as 'Grier Town'. Some of the founding members of the Ben Salem Sunday School became the forerunners of the Grier Heights Sunday School in September of 1941. So as history would have it, the Grier Heights Sunday School became the Grier Heights Presbyterian Church.

On Sunday, June 27, 1943 at 4:00pm, a program and order of service for the organization of a Presbyterian church in Grier Heights by the General Council of the Presbytery of Catawba established the Grier Heights Presbyterian Church. A conscious effort has been made over the years to impact this close knit community. Although worship is the center of congregational life, the church has a strong presence in the Grier Heights community and throughout the city.

As we have moved forward, we are thankful for the spiritual leadership and support of our former Pastors who graced us with their service during our many years of over 75 years.
